october

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn't it? Look at these maple branches. Don't they give you a thrill--several thrills? I'm going to decorate my room with them."

squaw peak + fall

on saturday, i hiked squaw peak with my friend dina. it was so gorgeous! i don't know if anywhere in the world is a pretty as utah is in the fall. the changing leaves and the smell... it's incredible. and the view at the top of squaw peak makes you feel like you are on top of the world! i am going to miss hiking around these parts.

i am so grateful for fall.

homecoming weekend!!

this weekend was homecoming weekend for BYU. seeing how it's my last year here, i thought i would celebrate homecoming right. i went to the football game (we lost but it's fine) and then hiked the Y while it was lit up (can check that off my bucketlist!)

there is something about football games that is just quintessential of fall.

yay for fall and for bucketlists!

fall breakfast

fall has officially come to provo ladies and gents. and with it has come my first scratchy throat of the season. a lot of hot cereal, tea with blueberry honey, and smoothies have been in my diet the last week.

and can i tell you that this is the first semester where the hint of a cold hasn't been as scary to me as getting the plague??? it has felt amazing. not that being sick is amazing. but not going into a panic attack and trying desperately to try every witch doctor's concoction to be able to sing through the cold has been such a relief.
