the haunted circus

last week, we gathered our courage and went to the haunted circus. it was such a blast! it was the perfect mix of spooky and entertaining. it's mostly a spook alley with some elements of a fun house. if you are ever in utah for halloween, i highly suggest going.

and this is coming from someone who despises clowns!

VEGAS!

i took my first trip to vegas this weekend and oh was it a party! the strip is so crazy but full of life. i saw a man get arrested for dealing drugs and saw more crazy halloween costumes then i could ever imagine.  the casinos and the lights. it almost didn't seem real.

there is a video coming...

squaw peak + fall

on saturday, i hiked squaw peak with my friend dina. it was so gorgeous! i don't know if anywhere in the world is a pretty as utah is in the fall. the changing leaves and the smell... it's incredible. and the view at the top of squaw peak makes you feel like you are on top of the world! i am going to miss hiking around these parts.

i am so grateful for fall.

moab.

so we decided to roadtrip down to moab. maybe it was the hottest camping trip of my life. but the blue sky against that red rock made it all worth it. and also the laughs. i have some pretty entertaining friends. the trip didn't feel long enough at all and i really want to plan another trip soon!

oregon coast + the samson

while we were visiting, we decided to go whale watching on the coast. before we boarded, we ate at this amazing restaurant called the sea hag. if you get the chance, i highly recommend it! i am still drooling over the clam chowder.

the whale trip was incredible. it was a very stormy day and riding the huge waves was so intense. we didn't see any whales, but we did a sea lion and some harbor seals. the view of the oregon coast from the boat was gorgeous! the grandkids loved it and overall it was a great experience even without the whales.

dockside charters was so cheap for the trip and i want to do it again next time we are in town!
