danse macabre

maybe it has been raining all day and i have this song on repeat. what can i say? i love halloween and this piece is incredible. 

for those of you who don't know this piece, it takes place at midnight on halloween. death comes out with his violin playing tri-tones (the devil's interval) to gather all of his skeletons to his dance. they dance until sunrise, then the world returns to normal.

the fugato that begins the development at 2:00 gives me chills!

basically i'm saying listen to it! one of the best halloween songs out there.
